Trump Claims US Has Become ‘Real United Nations’ After Ending Eight Wars in 11 Months
President Donald Trump has claimed that the United States has effectively become the “real United Nations,” asserting that eight wars were brought to an end within just 11 months under US efforts.
In a statement shared on social media, President Trump welcomed the recent ceasefire agreement between Thailand and Cambodia. He said he was pleased that fighting between the two countries had come to an end and expressed hope that both nations would now live in peace following the agreement.
President Trump congratulated the leadership of both Thailand and Cambodia, praising them for taking what he described as a swift and fair decision in the interest of peace. He stated that the United States was proud of its role in helping facilitate the ceasefire.
Highlighting what he called American diplomatic success, President Trump said that eight wars had been halted in just 11 months. He added that the United States had effectively assumed the role of the “real United Nations” by actively working to stop global conflicts.
The US president further criticized the international community, saying that no other entity had played a meaningful role in resolving ongoing conflicts around the world. Referring specifically to the Russia–Ukraine war, he said that no effective steps were being taken to bring the conflict to an end.
President Trump also questioned the role of the United Nations, stating that the global body should be more active and effective in promoting peace and preventing wars worldwide.
