Trump Says Iran Is a Clever Negotiator but ‘All the Cards Are in Our Hands’

US President Donald Trump has stated that Iran is a very clever negotiator, but emphasized that the United States holds the upper hand in ongoing negotiations.

Speaking in an interview with Fox News, Trump said he would never agree to a deal that is not beneficial to the United States. He claimed that America remains in a strong position and that Iran’s ability to develop a nuclear weapon has been eliminated.

The US president remarked that many people would be surprised to learn that the United States has not fully targeted Iran’s military capabilities. He argued that Iran once had the capacity to build a nuclear bomb, but that capability has now been neutralized.

Trump also reflected on past US military interventions, acknowledging that the invasion of Iraq was a major mistake and saying that the United States should not have entered the country.

He further stated that America should not have become involved in Iran either, but argued that without US action, Iran could have eventually developed nuclear weapons.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that the ceasefire arrangement between the United States and Iran has been extended for another 60 days. Trump also revealed that a draft agreement related to Iran has been shared with key US allies, including Israel.
