Bushra Ansari Raises Concerns Over Population Growth, Calls Large Families a Burden Without Proper Resources
Veteran Pakistani actress Bushra Ansari has expressed concern over Pakistan’s rapidly growing population and the social and economic challenges associated with it, urging families to make responsible decisions regarding family planning.
Speaking during a private television program on Eid-ul-Adha, Ansari said that while every person’s sustenance is determined by God, parents also have a responsibility to consider their financial capacity, available resources, and their children’s needs before making decisions about family size.
She emphasized that having children is not the only responsibility of parents; providing them with quality education, proper upbringing, healthcare, and a stable future is equally important.
According to the actress, bringing seven or eight children into the world without having the means to provide them with a good quality of life cannot be considered a wise decision.
Bushra Ansari stated that families should take responsibility only for the number of children they can adequately support and provide with opportunities for growth and success. She stressed that the quality of upbringing should be prioritized over the number of children.
She also expressed regret that public awareness campaigns regarding family planning and population balance, which were once common, are now rarely seen.
The actress concluded by saying that Pakistan is currently facing significant challenges related to limited resources, economic pressure, and population growth, making public awareness and serious discussion on the issue more important than ever.
