U.S. President Donald Trump has revealed that he held a tough and angry conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding Israel’s ongoing military operations in Lebanon.

Speaking during a podcast interview, Trump said he was frustrated by the continued conflict involving Israel and Lebanon and felt compelled to speak directly and firmly with Netanyahu about the situation.

The U.S. president also addressed Iran, stating that there is currently no need to deploy American ground forces to the country. According to Trump, Iran has agreed that it will not possess nuclear weapons, and senior Iranian leadership is engaged in discussions with the United States.

Trump further suggested that he could potentially meet Iran’s Supreme Leader at some point in the future if circumstances permit. Discussing the economy, he said inflation in the United States remains under control and predicted that fuel prices could decline further if tensions involving Iran are resolved.

According to U.S. media reports, a recent phone call between Trump and Netanyahu became tense over Israeli military activities in Lebanon. The reports claim Trump objected to a possible Israeli plan to strike Beirut and attempted to discourage such action.

Media outlets also reported that Trump used unusually harsh language during the conversation, reflecting growing frustration within the U.S. administration over regional escalation. Israeli officials have not publicly commented on the reported details of the call.

The developments highlight ongoing differences between Washington and Tel Aviv over how to manage security challenges in the Middle East while preventing a broader regional conflict.
