Book Review on “How to Win Friends and Influence People” by Dale Carnegie

Dale Carnegie was an American author and the founder of well- known courses pertaining to self- improvement, salesmanship, corporate training, public speaking and interpersonal skill. The writer of this highly attention catching book remained active in the field of teaching as well. This significant book got published in the year 1936 for the first time which was sold like a hot cake. The book is of great importance and effective resource for personal and professional development.
It is important to highlight that this book has had great impact on the readers worldwide. Its principles have been applied in various contexts from business and leadership to personal relationship. It is an admitted fact that having an everlasting wisdom and rich with practical advice, the book is an invaluable resource for anyone who is keenly interested to improve his or her communication skills and build stronger relationship.
Moreover, the book is divided into four parts. Firstly, it highlights the fundamental techniques of how to handle people. Secondly, Carnegie recommends six ways to make people compelled liking you. Thirdly, the author shows how to win people to your way of your thinking. Fourthly, he further stresses that in order to be a leader how one can change the minds of the people without giving any offense to them or arousing their resentment.

In my point of view, this book is a game changer which is based on sound principles of acumen for constructing strong relationship and an effective communication. In brief, “How to Win Friends and Influence People” is a must read for anyone seeking to enhance one’s personal and professional relationship. Carnegie’s writing is easy, understandable, concise and heart-sweeping. I also equally consider this book to bean effective remedy for improving communication skills, building stronger relationships, enhancing leadership and increasing influence and persuasiveness.
