Saudi Arabia Launches New Umrah Season, Begins Issuing Umrah Visas Worldwide
Saudi Arabia has officially launched the new Umrah season and started issuing Umrah visas for pilgrims from around the world following the conclusion of the annual Hajj season.
According to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the issuance of Umrah visas will continue until March 9, 2027, corresponding to 1 Shawwal 1448 AH. International pilgrims will be allowed to enter the Kingdom until March 23, 2027, while all Umrah visitors must depart Saudi Arabia no later than April 7, 2027.
The ministry stated that pilgrims can obtain entry permits and Umrah authorizations through the Nusuk application, which serves as a comprehensive digital platform for permits, bookings, guidance services, and other pilgrimage-related facilities.
Saudi authorities have significantly expanded digital services for Umrah in recent years. The Nusuk platform now provides electronic permits, automated contracting systems, and QR-code verification services to ensure a smoother and more organized experience for pilgrims.
As part of Vision 2030, Saudi Arabia is also investing in transportation, accommodation, and infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing services for the growing number of pilgrims visiting the Kingdom each year. Officials say these initiatives are designed to improve the overall pilgrimage experience and facilitate easier access to holy sites.
