PPP Has Been Fighting for Gilgit-Baltistan’s Rights for Three Generations, Says Bilawal Bhutto
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that his party has been fighting for the rights and self-governance of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan for three generations.
In a message addressed to the people of Gilgit-Baltistan, Bilawal said that former President Asif Ali Zardari provided the region with greater recognition and introduced significant administrative reforms.
He also credited former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto for abolishing the Frontier Crimes Regulation (FCR) and the traditional princely system in the region, while introducing subsidies and other public welfare measures.
Bilawal Bhutto emphasized that the younger generation must continue this struggle and play its role in securing the constitutional and political rights of Gilgit-Baltistan.
He urged voters to support the PPP in the upcoming elections, saying that a strong mandate would enable him to raise the voice of Gilgit-Baltistan more effectively in Islamabad.
The PPP chairman expressed confidence that public support would strengthen the party’s efforts to secure greater rights and representation for the people of the region.
