The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Department has abolished the work-from-home facility on Fridays and declared the day a regular working day as part of measures to ensure timely preparation of the upcoming fiscal budget.

According to official details, the provincial government has initiated administrative steps to streamline the budget-making process. With the formal start of the budget cycle, new directives have been issued regarding the attendance and availability of officers and staff.

A notification issued by the Finance Department stated that due to the sensitivity of budget preparations and increased workload, work-from-home on Fridays has been discontinued. The move aims to prevent any delays in budget-related matters.

In addition, strict instructions have been issued to ensure that all officers remain available. Officials are now prohibited from leaving the station without prior permission. Even those on leave are required to remain accessible for any urgent budget-related tasks.

Officials from the Finance Department emphasized that these measures are intended to make the budget preparation process transparent, efficient, and error-free. The government aims to complete all legal and administrative requirements on time to present the budget as scheduled.
