Mohsin Abbas Haider Makes Shocking Claims About Drug Use in Showbiz Industry, Calls for Ban on Intoxicated Artists
Pakistani actor, singer, and writer Mohsin Abbas Haider has made serious allegations regarding drug use within the entertainment industry, calling for strict action against actors, actresses, and directors who report to work while under the influence of intoxicating substances.
Speaking during a recent television interview, Mohsin Abbas Haider discussed what he described as one of the industry’s most uncomfortable realities. According to him, substance abuse on shooting sets not only affects production quality but also creates difficulties for fellow cast and crew members.
The actor recalled a social media post in which he publicly stated that artists and directors who arrive at shooting locations intoxicated should face a complete ban from working in the industry.
Haider revealed that shortly after posting the message, he received a phone call from the production company of the drama he was currently working on. The company reportedly asked whether his comments were directed at someone associated with their project.
According to Haider, he confirmed that the issue was indeed related to an individual present on that particular set. He further stated that the production team later asked whether he was referring to a specific actor or actress, and he identified the person privately.
Describing one of his experiences, Haider claimed that during a scene, a lead actress appeared unable to maintain eye contact while performing, making it difficult to complete the shoot effectively.
He emphasized that the entertainment industry should not tolerate any behavior that harms professionalism or sends negative messages to society.
When asked whether the production company took any action following his complaint, Haider stated that the matter was addressed and appropriate steps were taken.
It is worth noting that Mohsin Abbas Haider had previously raised similar concerns in January 2025 through social media posts criticizing artists who work while allegedly under the influence of drugs.
However, he did not publicly identify any actor, actress, or director during the interview. As a result, the allegations remain unverified and cannot be independently confirmed.
The remarks are expected to spark discussion within Pakistan’s entertainment industry, where calls for stronger professional standards and workplace accountability continue to gain attention.
