Pakistan Navy Successfully Tests ‘Taimur’ Air-Launched Anti-Ship Cruise Missile

The Pakistan Navy has achieved a major milestone by successfully testing its indigenously developed air-launched anti-ship cruise missile, “Taimur.”

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the missile demonstrated exceptional precision by accurately hitting its target at sea during the test. The launch showcased the Navy’s operational readiness and its capability to effectively respond to maritime threats.

The ISPR stated that the missile successfully destroyed its target from a long range, reaffirming the Pakistan Navy’s ability to detect, track, and neutralize threats in the maritime domain with decisive force.

“Taimur” is a modern anti-ship weapon system developed locally, representing a significant step forward in Pakistan’s defense self-reliance. The successful test has further strengthened the integrated defense capabilities of the country’s armed forces and enhanced the security of its maritime boundaries.

Top national leadership, including the President, Prime Minister, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, and Services Chiefs, congratulated the nation on this achievement. They also praised the dedication and professionalism of Pakistani scientists and engineers behind this development.
