Pakistan Not in Arms Race with India, DG ISPR

Director General ISPR, Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has stated that Pakistan is not engaged in any arms race with India and has never attempted to conceal facts or figures.

Speaking to Bloomberg, he emphasized that Pakistan’s military development strategy has always revolved around effective platforms and indigenously developed technologies.

The DG ISPR said Pakistan is open to adopting technology from any source — Eastern or Western — as long as it enhances national defense capability.

He confirmed that during the “Battle of Haq”, no Pakistani aircraft was shot down by India.
According to Bloomberg, Pakistan’s Chinese-made J-10C fighter jets successfully engaged and downed several Indian Air Force aircraft, including the Rafale.

The report further stated that Pakistan recently added the Z-10ME attack helicopter to its arsenal and continues to operate both Chinese and American (F-16) platforms.
