US Warns Iran Over Nuclear Ambitions, Tightens Hormuz Blockade

The United States has issued a strong warning to Iran regarding its nuclear ambitions, with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth stating that Iran will not be allowed to develop nuclear weapons and should instead pursue a diplomatic deal.

Speaking at a press conference at the Pentagon, Hegseth emphasized that Iran has a clear opportunity to make a wise decision at the negotiating table. He reiterated that President Donald Trump’s policy on Iran remains firm and transparent.

The US has intensified its naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz, turning back 34 vessels so far. Officials claim full control over the strategic route and confirmed that the blockade will continue as long as necessary.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Caine, accused Iran of escalating tensions by targeting neighboring countries and attempting to impose taxes on global shipping routes. He confirmed that multiple vessels linked to Iranian ports have been seized.

US officials also warned that any attempt by Iran to deploy naval mines would be considered a violation of ceasefire conditions, further escalating tensions in the region.
