The Sindh government has unveiled a strict strategy to eliminate cheating in matriculation and intermediate examinations, introducing a zero-tolerance policy with severe penalties for both students and examination staff.

In a joint statement, Sindh Education Minister Sardar Shah and Minister for Boards and Universities Muhammad Ismail Rahu warned that students found cheating could face a permanent ban from appearing in board examinations. Additionally, all exam papers of such students will be immediately cancelled.

The policy also states that any student found carrying a mobile phone or cheating material will be expelled from the examination center and barred from participating in ongoing or future board exams.

The government has also issued a strong warning to examination staff. Any invigilator, internal or external staff member, or administrative officer found involved in facilitating cheating will face strict departmental action, including dismissal from service.

Authorities are further strengthening monitoring systems at examination centers to prevent external interference and ensure transparency.

The ministers emphasized that there will be no compromise on the integrity of examinations, stating that eliminating the culture of cheating is essential for improving educational standards. They added that anyone involved in such malpractice will face the strictest legal consequences.
