Pakistan’s Hajj Flight Operation Enters Final Phase as 87% Pilgrims Reach Saudi Arabia
Pakistan’s Hajj flight operation has entered its final phase, with approximately 87 percent of pilgrims under the government scheme successfully arriving in Saudi Arabia through 388 flights over the past month.
According to Ministry of Religious Affairs spokesperson Umar Butt, a total of 103,513 pilgrims have already reached the Kingdom, while the remaining 15,321 pilgrims are expected to arrive within the next 96 hours before the Hajj rituals begin on the night between the 7th and 8th of Dhul Hijjah.
Officials stated that 184 flights landed in Madinah and 229 flights arrived in Jeddah during the operation. Around 95 percent of the pilgrims are currently staying in Makkah, while the remaining five percent are residing in Madinah.
The ministry also confirmed that 96 percent of the welfare staff, including Hajj assistants, medical teams, and technical personnel, have been deployed across Saudi Arabia to provide guidance, healthcare, and support services to pilgrims.
Meanwhile, transport services in Makkah have been expanded significantly, with 469 shuttle buses operating around the clock to facilitate the movement of pilgrims between their residences and Haram Sharif.
Authorities further revealed that over 38,000 Pakistani pilgrims in Madinah have already visited Riaz-ul-Jannah as part of their spiritual journey.
