Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has declared that no recruitment in government departments will be made on political grounds or personal recommendations.

Addressing the Suthra Punjab team in Lahore, she emphasized her commitment to transparency and merit, stating that political interference in hiring is unacceptable and morally wrong. She added that awarding jobs to undeserving candidates not only weakens institutions but also constitutes an ethical violation.

Maryam Nawaz warned that individuals appointed through recommendations often fail to perform, as they consider themselves above accountability. She directed government officials and members of the Suthra Punjab initiative to firmly reject any political pressure.

Calling the Suthra Punjab program one of her key priorities, she stressed that corruption or negligence would not be tolerated. She urged officials to refuse any illegal instructions, even from influential figures, and to step down if they are unable to withstand pressure.

The Chief Minister also stated that she is personally monitoring cleanliness and performance across districts. Only those officers who deliver results will retain their positions, while the Suthra Punjab team must rise above political affiliations and focus solely on public service.
