KP Advisor Saif Accuses Political Opponents of Exploiting Bannu Incident
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) Advisor for Information, Barrister Saif, has accused certain rejected political figures of attempting to exploit the recent Bannu incident for their own political gain. In a statement, he highlighted that KP has been severely affected by terrorism in the past and cannot afford another major tragedy.
According to Barrister Saif, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur is diligently monitoring the situation in Bannu. Following the incident, the Chief Minister abandoned all other commitments to focus on addressing the issues in Bannu. The prevention of any further unpleasant incidents in Bannu remains a top priority for the provincial government, which is receiving constant updates from the local administration.
Barrister Saif also mentioned that negotiations are underway between the local administration and a committee of social leaders. These talks have already contributed to restoring peace in the area, and the committee is expected to ensure long-term stability. The committee’s meeting with the Chief Minister is anticipated soon, and an inquiry report on the incident is expected to be submitted shortly.
He reiterated that the protection of citizens’ lives and property is a top priority for the provincial government and urged the public to cooperate with the government and local administration in eradicating extremism.
