Pakistan Conducted 62,000 Counter-Terror Operations in 2025: 1,667 Terrorists Killed, 1,073 Martyred — DG ISPR
Director General ISPR Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry shared detailed figures of Pakistan’s counter-terrorism efforts for the year 2025, revealing an extensive campaign against militants nationwide.
According to the DG ISPR, security forces conducted 62,113 intelligence-based operations, resulting in the elimination of 1,667 terrorists and the martyrdom of 1,073 individuals, including army personnel, law enforcement officers, and civilians.
He said that the highest number of operations took place in Balochistan, while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa recorded the most casualties.
The year saw 4,373 terrorism-related incidents, with 584 Army personnel, 133 law enforcement officials, and 356 civilians losing their lives.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa alone, 514 incidents were reported — killing 77 terrorists and resulting in 198 martyrs.
Among the slain militants, 128 were Afghan nationals, according to the DG ISPR.
Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif added that “the Army, Rangers, and intelligence agencies are jointly conducting these operations to protect the people from extremists.”
He lamented that “while our soldiers are sacrificing their lives, some political voices still oppose these operations.”
The DG ISPR reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces remain determined to continue their mission under the Vision of Stability until the complete eradication of terrorism from the country.
