Pakistan Navy Seizes $972 Million Worth of Narcotics in Major Operation
The Pakistan Navy has carried out a successful counter-narcotics operation in the North Arabian Sea, seizing narcotics worth USD 972 million.
According to ISPR, the operation was conducted by PNS Yarmouk under the Saudi-led Combined Task Force 150 (CTF-150).
The spokesperson said the success reflects Pakistan Navy’s commitment to regional maritime security, global peace, and the fight against illegal trafficking.
The Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, lauded the crew of PNS Yarmouk for their professionalism and dedication, affirming that the Pakistan Navy continues to safeguard national maritime interests while contributing to international maritime security efforts.
He added that this successful operation under Saudi leadership further strengthens naval cooperation and interoperability between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
President Asif Ali Zardari congratulated the Pakistan Navy, calling the achievement a matter of national pride and a testament to the Navy’s professionalism.
He said the operation highlights Pakistan’s active role in promoting peace and maritime security across the region.
