Imran Khan and PTI have always supported terrorists: Attaullah Tarar

Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has said that Imran Khan and his party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), have been supporters of terrorists on every front — both nationally and internationally.

Talking to media representatives, Tarar said that the Pakistan Army and its officers bravely fought terrorism, while some people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa continue to obstruct peace. He termed PTI as the “party of chaos,” claiming it has no concern for the sacrifices of martyrs or the integrity of the country.

He alleged that PTI’s primary agenda has been to create division and instability in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while providing safe havens to terrorists. “Imran Khan and his party have long acted as facilitators of terrorism at the global level,” he stated.

The minister recalled the sacrifices of APS students, saying, “The children of Pakistan wrote stories of sacrifice with their blood. We can never forget the children of Khuzdar and Peshawar who were martyred.”

Tarar said that every segment of society — from soldiers to civilians, traders to teachers — contributed to the fight against terror. He added that under the National Action Plan, the government is committed to eliminating terrorism completely.

He emphasized that Pakistan’s army successfully defeated terrorism through Operation Zarb-e-Azb and Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, restoring peace and normalcy to markets, mosques, and playgrounds.

Tarar also condemned Imran Khan for allegedly trying to politicize the sacrifices of martyrs, saying, “The person sitting in jail only wants to play politics over dead bodies.”

He concluded that Pakistan’s unity and the sacrifices of its people are the true reason the country stands strong against terrorism today.
