Two Children Killed in Tank Mortar Attack, JUI Chief Blasts State Silence

A heartbreaking tragedy occurred in the Ragzai area of Tehsil Gomal, District Tank, where a mortar shell landed on a civilian home, killing two 6-year-old children on the spot.

JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman issued a strong condemnation, calling the incident both tragic and deeply alarming. “Neither children nor the elderly are safe anymore. The blood of the public has become the cheapest thing in this country. The state is a silent spectator,” he said.

He also alleged that JUI leaders and workers are being deliberately targeted as part of an orchestrated campaign. Fazlur Rehman questioned what steps the government and security agencies are taking to protect citizens when the threats to life keep escalating.

He expressed deep sorrow with the bereaved family and prayed for the innocent souls to be granted a place in the highest levels of Paradise.
