ANP to Mark Eid with Simplicity, Urges Support for the Needy Amid National Challenges

In light of Pakistan’s worsening economic and security situation, the Awami National Party (ANP) has decided to observe Eid-ul-Adha with simplicity this year. The announcement was made by ANP’s central president Aimal Wali Khan, following consultations with the party’s central and provincial leadership.
Aimal Wali stated that the decision reflects solidarity with the public who are enduring rising inflation, unemployment, and a deteriorating law and order situation. “True happiness comes from understanding others’ needs and helping them,” he said.
He urged all party members and workers to avoid lavish celebrations and instead focus on helping the needy, poor, and underprivileged in their communities so they can also share in the joy of Eid.
The party also announced that no traditional Eid gathering or Eid Milan event will be held at Wali Bagh, Charsadda, continuing the practice from previous years in light of the current crisis.
Aimal emphasized that the country’s current conditions do not allow for grand public gatherings and called for a thoughtful, compassionate Eid that truly reflects Islamic values of sacrifice and care.
