Pakistan’s Operation Bunyan Marsus Devastates Indian Airbases, Crushes Aggression

In a decisive and powerful retaliation against India’s escalating aggression, Pakistan launched Operation Bunyan Marsus (Iron Wall), obliterating three Indian airbases—Udhampur, Pathankot, and Adampur—along with multiple strategic targets, including a BrahMos missile storage site in Beas and the Indian Brigade Headquarters at KJ Top. The operation, executed with precision by Pakistan Air Force’s JF-17 Thunder jets armed with hypersonic missiles, also destroyed India’s prized $1.5 billion S-400 air defense system in Adampur, a significant blow to India’s military capabilities.
Security sources confirmed that Pakistan’s forces also targeted and razed the Halwara airfield, the Uri supply depot, and several Indian posts in the Phuklian sector, silencing Indian artillery. The operation, ongoing as of May 10, has successfully neutralized multiple targets, including airfields in Bhatinda, Suratgarh, Mamun, Akhnoor, Jammu, Sirsa, and Barnala, previously struck by Pakistani forces. Videos of the destruction, particularly at Udhampur airbase engulfed in flames, have surfaced, showcasing the scale of Pakistan’s response and the chaos it has inflicted on Indian military infrastructure.
The operation was launched in response to India’s “Operation Sindoor” on May 6-7, which targeted civilian areas in Pakistan-administered Kashmir, including Kotli, Muzaffarabad, and Bagh, as well as Muridke and Ahmadpur East, killing 31 Pakistanis, including two children, and injuring 51. Two mosques were also destroyed in the attacks, which Pakistan condemned as cowardly. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) had warned India to “wait for our response,” and Operation Bunyan Marsus marks the fulfillment of that promise, targeting the very bases used to launch attacks on Pakistani civilians, airbases, and mosques.
Security officials emphasized that the operation sends a clear message: Pakistan will not compromise on its sovereignty or national security. The destruction of the BrahMos storage site, from which missiles were fired at Pakistan, underscores the strategic precision of the strikes. While the Pakistan Army has yet to release an official statement, sources confirm the operation is highly coordinated and rooted in a defensive strategy.
The escalation follows India’s refusal to accept Pakistan’s offer for a transparent investigation into the April 22 Pahalgam attack, which killed 26 tourists in Indian-administered Kashmir. Pakistan’s Foreign Office condemned India’s actions, including the suspension of the Indus Water Treaty, as violations of international law. As global powers urge de-escalation, Pakistan’s Operation Bunyan Marsus stands as a resolute defense against India’s warlike ambitions, with the nation’s forces continuing to target key Indian military assets.
