Tensions within the Indian military reached a new height as a shocking incident of internal firing occurred along the Line of Control (LoC). Reports confirm that personnel from the 185 Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) opened fire on the 13 Sikh Light Infantry Regiment of the Indian Army during a patrol operation in the Japala Bridge area of the Baramulla sector on the night of April 25–26.

According to military sources, the BSF mistakenly identified the army regiment as a hostile force. The resulting clash left five Sikh soldiers dead, igniting outrage and unrest within the Sikh Light Infantry ranks.

Defense analysts have called the incident a disturbing indication of growing internal discord and poor communication within Indian forces stationed in sensitive conflict zones. Similar incidents in the past have raised alarms over the discipline, morale, and operational cohesion of Indian armed forces.

Commenting on the situation, defense experts reiterated that the Pakistan Army remains fully vigilant and is prepared to counter any hostile misadventure with strength and precision. The Indian internal collapse, they warn, may have broader implications for regional stability.
