Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Kundi has launched a fiery verbal assault against Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and the PTI-led provincial government, accusing them of rampant corruption, institutional decay, and political dysfunction.

Speaking to media in Peshawar, Kundi questioned whether CM Gandapur would prioritize the controversial Mines and Minerals Bill or focus on safeguarding his own position. “He’s acting on orders from Islamabad like an obedient child,” said the governor, hinting at alleged federal-level influence over provincial affairs.

Kundi alleged that the provincial exchequer is being used to fund PTI political rallies and personal luxuries rather than governance. “Even their own finance ministers are pointing fingers. Development funds are being drained into jalsas,” he stated.

He criticized the province’s deteriorating law and order and questioned the inaction of accountability institutions such as NAB and FIA. “When the CM says his own cabinet members are thieves, where is the accountability?” he asked.

The governor also raised concerns about foreign policy inconsistencies, questioning the government’s outreach to Afghanistan while ignoring China. He called on PM Shehbaz Sharif to show federal presence in the province, saying, “Has KP been handed to PTI on contract?”

Calling for political dialogue, Governor Kundi urged Gandapur to abandon confrontation and begin working with other political forces. “You haven’t built a road in Kurram but talk about marching on Islamabad?” he concluded.
