Punjab Announces Winter Break for Schools, Students Excited for the Holidays
The Punjab government has officially announced winter holidays for government and private schools, which will run from December 20, 2024, to January 10, 2025. The break is for both students and staff, giving everyone a chance to unwind and enjoy the chilly season.
Students are particularly excited about the holidays and have made various plans. A school representative shared, “Each student has their own ideas for making the most of the break.”
Many students plan to visit Pakistan’s northern areas to witness snowfall and explore beautiful winter landscapes, while others look forward to visiting their grandparents’ homes for a family reunion.
In urban areas, students are eager for local activities such as picnics, outings, and get-togethers, with some already planning barbecues and enjoying traditional food like parathas, shawarma, and pizzas. Meanwhile, a number of students aim to balance leisure and studies by staying home and playing video games during their downtime.
The holidays offer a festive break, bringing opportunities for family bonding, fun activities, and some much-needed rest before the new year begins.
