Marriyum Aurangzeb Criticizes PTI for Planning Sit-In Amid Country’s Progress
Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb on Wednesday urged the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to stage protests in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa rather than disrupting the nation’s progress. Addressing a press conference in Lahore, she alleged that Rs800 million had been distributed among PTI lawmakers to fund the protests.
Marriyum claimed that the country’s development was put on hold due to similar protests in 2014, and now, attempts were being made again to disrupt economic growth. She emphasized that the PML-N government, under Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, had restored investor confidence and made strides in sectors like agriculture.
Highlighting the finalization of Lahore’s master plan, she said it would be replicated across other districts for holistic development. She further criticized PTI’s internal conflicts, referring to the alleged rift within the party leadership.
Marriyum concluded by reiterating that the PML-N government remains committed to providing relief to the public and advancing the nation’s progress.
