7 Soldiers Martyred, 6 Terrorists Killed in Kalat Check Post Attack

Security forces foiled a terrorist attack on a check post in Shah-e-Mardan, Kalat District, on Friday night. According to an ISPR statement, six terrorists were killed, and four others sustained injuries during the intense exchange of fire. Tragically, seven soldiers of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom while bravely defending the post.
A sanitization operation is underway to clear the area of any remaining threats. The ISPR reiterated the nation’s resolve to thwart any attempts to destabilize peace in Balochistan, stating that such sacrifices strengthen the determination to achieve lasting stability.
Terrorist activities have increased in Balochistan’s border areas recently. Earlier this week, security forces killed four terrorists, including a high-value target, in Kech, and eight terrorists were neutralized in Miranshah during separate intelligence-based operations.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the attack, describing it as a “cowardly act” that will not weaken the nation’s resolve. He expressed condolences to the families of the martyrs and reiterated the government’s commitment to eliminating terrorism.
