Paris St. Germain continued their unbeaten streak in Ligue 1 with a convincing 3-1 win over Rennes at Parc des Princes on Friday. Bradley Barcola played a pivotal role, scoring twice and helping PSG extend their lead at the top of the table to 16 points, three clear of rivals Olympique de Marseille and Monaco.

Despite missing a few early opportunities, PSG broke the deadlock in the 30th minute. Ousmane Dembele set up Barcola, who calmly curled the ball into the net, marking the first of his two goals. Barcola continued to be a menace for the Rennes defense and nearly added a second when his powerful shot hit the post, allowing South Korean midfielder Lee Kang-in to pounce on the rebound and score.

The second half saw Barcola cap off a brilliant performance, scoring his second goal in the 68th minute after a precision pass from Achraf Hakimi. Rennes tried to mount a comeback, and Arnaud Kalimuendo converted a penalty in the 75th minute. However, a late goal by Alidu Seidu was disallowed for handball, ending any hopes of a Rennes revival.

PSG’s return to form after a few lackluster performances shows they remain a dominant force in the league. With Barcola shining and their attack regaining sharpness, PSG look set to maintain their place at the top of the table.
