A small passenger plane crashed on Thursday afternoon shortly after taking off from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport, with all nine people aboard feared dead. The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand reported that the Cessna Caravan C208B, operated by Thai Flying Service Company, lost radio and radar contact just 11 minutes after departure. The plane was on a domestic flight to Trat, a coastal province, when it went down in a mangrove swamp in Chachoengsao province, about 40 kilometers from the airport.

Rescue teams rushed to the crash site, where they found the wreckage in a heavily wooded area, submerged in water due to rising tides. Despite the challenging conditions, rescuers located fragmented body parts, confirming the grim outcome. The passengers included five Chinese tourists from Hong Kong and four Thai crew members, including the pilot and co-pilot.

The cause of the crash remains unclear, with investigations ongoing. The tragic incident has sent shockwaves through Thailand and beyond, as authorities work to piece together what led to this devastating loss.
