Hajj 2026 Sermon: “Adopt Taqwa, for It Brings Success in This World and the Hereafter”, Sheikh Ali Al-Hudhaifi
Makkah: During the Hajj 2026 sermon at Masjid Namirah, Amir-e-Hajj and Imam of Masjid-e-Nabawi, Sheikh Ali Abdul Rahman Al-Hudhaifi, urged Muslims around the world to adopt Taqwa (God-consciousness), emphasizing that it is the key to success in both this world and the Hereafter.
Addressing more than 1.8 million pilgrims gathered in the plains of Arafat, Sheikh Al-Hudhaifi reminded believers that Allah alone is the ultimate truth and that all human beings will be resurrected on the Day of Judgment.
He described the Day of Judgment as a terrifying day when mothers would forget their children and children would forget their mothers, stressing the importance of preparing for the Hereafter through faith and righteous deeds.
The Imam emphasized Tawheed (the oneness of Allah), prayer, fasting, charity, and Hajj as the fundamental pillars of Islam. He also recalled how Prophet Ibrahim (AS) was commanded by Allah to invite humanity toward Hajj, a call that millions continue to answer today.
Sheikh Al-Hudhaifi highlighted the spirit of brotherhood and unity witnessed during Hajj and advised pilgrims to avoid pushing, harming others, or causing inconvenience during the sacred rituals.
He further stated that the supplication made on the Day of Arafah is among the greatest of all prayers and prayed for the acceptance of the pilgrims’ عبادات, peace among Muslims, and unity across the Ummah.
Following the sermon, pilgrims offered Zuhr prayers at Arafat and continued their worship and supplications before departing for Muzdalifah later in the evening.
