Pakistan Is Shining Globally While Darkness Lies Across the Eastern Border, Says Attaullah Tarar
Pakistan’s Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar stated that Pakistan is “shining in the world” while “darkness exists across the eastern border,” in an apparent reference to India.
Speaking at an event in Islamabad, Tarar said Pakistan has earned a respected position internationally on both diplomatic and military fronts, while the country across the eastern border is facing isolation and failure.
He accused India of failing to condemn terrorism incidents inside Pakistan and referred to the arrest of alleged Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav as evidence of Indian involvement in destabilizing activities.
Tarar stated that Pakistan emerged globally as a supporter of peace following what he described as the successful “Battle for Truth,” adding that the country also achieved diplomatic success during recent regional tensions.
Referring to the Pahalgam incident, the minister said Pakistan had asked India to provide evidence, but according to him, New Delhi had no response apart from silence. He accused India of promoting terrorism while Pakistan continued to fight against it.
The information minister highlighted the sacrifices made by Pakistani citizens and security forces in the war against terrorism, mentioning incidents such as the Army Public School attack and the Jaffar Express tragedy.
Tarar added that people around the world take pride in their association with Pakistan and said the country had consistently acted as a responsible state in regional affairs.
He also criticized India by mentioning incidents involving Kulbhushan Jadhav and Indian pilot Abhinandan, saying such cases reflected the realities on the other side of the border.
