556th Birth Anniversary Celebrations of Guru Nanak Begin in Nankana Sahib
The three-day celebrations of the 556th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism, begin today at Nankana Sahib.
Thousands of Sikh pilgrims from around the world have arrived in Pakistan to take part in the annual religious event. Over 2,000 Indian pilgrims are scheduled to reach Nankana Sahib today, while others from Sindh and different parts of Pakistan have already arrived.
The district administration and Evacuee Trust Property Board have made comprehensive arrangements for security, accommodation, and facilitation of the visitors.
Religious rituals, prayers, and kirtan will continue at Gurdwara Janam Asthan throughout the three-day celebrations.
