Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar Faces Backlash Over Controversial Remarks on Marriage and Infidelity

Renowned Pakistani drama writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar has once again come under criticism on social media after making controversial remarks about marriage, infidelity, and gender roles during a recent interview.

While speaking in the interview, Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar shared his views on men cheating after marriage and placed much of the blame on women. He questioned, “Who do men cheat with? Obviously with other women,” adding that women often fail to criticize those women who become involved with married men.

He further stated that women should raise their voices against women who show interest in married men. According to him, men are often unable to resist attention or advances from women, which leads to incidents of infidelity.

Qamar also described men as “dishonest” and said that many wives choose to forgive their husbands despite betrayal, although they still have the option to end the relationship.

His remarks quickly went viral on social media, triggering mixed reactions from users. While many criticized his comments as unfair and controversial, others defended his opinion and described it as a reflection of social realities.
