Apple to Launch Ultra-Thin iPhone 17 Air, The Most Exciting iPhone Yet?

on

Apple’s next-generation iPhone 17 lineup is already making waves ahead of its expected September 2025 launch. In a surprising move, Apple is reportedly replacing the ‘Plus’ model with an all-new iPhone 17 Air, alongside the iPhone 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max.

One of the most exciting changes is the introduction of Apple’s thinnest iPhone ever – the iPhone 17 Air, which is expected to measure between 5mm and 6.25mm in thickness. With a 6.6-inch display, it will be positioned between the Pro and Pro Max models. The standard iPhone 17 will retain a similar design but with an improved scratch-resistant display. Meanwhile, Pro models might shift from a titanium frame to aluminum, making them lighter.

For the first time, all iPhone 17 models will feature ProMotion 120Hz refresh rate and an Always-On display, previously reserved for Pro versions. Apple will introduce the A19 chip in the iPhone 17 and 17 Air, while the Pro models will be powered by the A19 Pro chip, offering a major performance boost. The Pro versions will come with 12GB RAM, while the standard and Air models will feature 8GB RAM. Additionally, Apple is revamping battery technology with more repair-friendly designs and 35W fast charging support.

Photography lovers will see major improvements, especially in the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, which will feature a triple 48MP camera setup (Wide, Ultra-Wide, and Telephoto lenses). The iPhone 17 and 17 Air will also see a significant jump with a 48MP primary camera for high-quality photography.

Expected Pricing

Apple is likely to maintain its pricing structure, with:

  • iPhone 17 – $799
  • iPhone 17 Air – $899
  • iPhone 17 Pro – $999
  • iPhone 17 Pro Max – $1,199

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 17 series between September 11-13, 2025. With a new model, design changes, and powerful upgrades, this could be one of Apple’s most significant iPhone launches in years.
