Punjab Government Expands Free Wi-Fi Service to 230 Locations Across the Province

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has extended the scope of the free Wi-Fi service to 230 locations. This initiative aims to improve access to the internet for residents in various districts, fostering greater connectivity and supporting digital literacy.
According to a spokesperson from the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA), the free Wi-Fi service has been successfully launched at 200 locations in Lahore, along with 10 points in Kasur, 15 in Sheikhupura, and five in Nankana Sahib. This effort reflects the government’s commitment to leveraging technology for the benefit of its citizens.
The expansion of free Wi-Fi is expected to facilitate better communication, access to online resources, and enhance the overall quality of life for residents, particularly in areas with limited internet availability. This initiative aligns with the government’s broader goals of promoting digital inclusion and empowering communities through technology.
With this new service, the Punjab government aims to bridge the digital divide and provide citizens with the tools necessary for education, business, and personal development.
