Tahir-ul-Qadri Says AI Is Not an Enemy, Emphasizes Responsible Use and Youth Training

Renowned Islamic scholar Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has stated that artificial intelligence is not an enemy but a technology whose impact depends on how it is used.

Speaking during his visit to a major mosque in Norway, Qadri highlighted the importance of responsible usage of digital tools, including social media and television. He said that these platforms are neither friends nor enemies by themselves — their effect depends entirely on user behavior.

He also expressed concern over the changing role of homes in modern society, stating that houses have become mere places of residence rather than centers of moral and spiritual training.

Qadri urged parents to ensure that religious values grow naturally within children instead of being imposed externally. He emphasized that when proper upbringing is missing at home, children are influenced by schools, society, and social media — all of which carry both positive and negative aspects.

He further advised families to reconnect children with mosques and religious teachings, stressing the need for balanced development — physical, mental, and spiritual.
