The Pakistan Navy has successfully conducted a live firing test of an indigenously developed anti-ship ballistic missile in the North Arabian Sea, demonstrating enhanced maritime strike capabilities and operational readiness.

According to a statement issued by ISPR, the missile was launched from a naval warship and accurately struck a distant sea-based target with high precision. The successful test highlights Pakistan Navy’s growing technological capability and its ability to effectively engage enemy targets at sea.

The missile is equipped with a modern guidance system designed to evade enemy defense mechanisms, enabling it to strike both moving and stationary maritime targets with remarkable accuracy. Officials stated that the system has been fully developed within Pakistan, marking a significant step toward self-reliance in defense production.

Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf personally witnessed the test, along with scientists and engineers associated with the project. He expressed satisfaction over the missile’s performance and commended the efforts of the team involved.

The successful trial underscores Pakistan Navy’s commitment to ensuring maritime security, regional stability, and maintaining a credible conventional deterrence in the naval domain.

President of Pakistan and the Prime Minister congratulated the Navy and scientists on this achievement, while senior military leadership also termed it a significant milestone for the country’s defense capability.
