New Parties Will Be Like Reham Khan’s, Fawad Chaudhry Says

Former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry declared that Pakistan does not need more political parties and any new formation will be irrelevant, likening it to Reham Khan’s political attempt.

Speaking to the media at the Lahore High Court, Fawad accused the current PTI leadership of being more focused on Senate seat distributions than genuine opposition politics. He alleged they are deliberately keeping the PTI founder imprisoned to maintain their grip on leadership, fearing his release would end their political careers.

He further stated that the current leadership lacks the vision or ability to mobilize the public and that the movement has lost momentum. Fawad added that the entry of the founder’s son into politics could revive the opposition. Regarding Aliya Hamza, he remarked she has no actual role in the movement.
