Hera Pheri 3 Begins Filming, The Iconic Trio of Akshay, Suniel, and Paresh Return for More Laughter

After years of fan anticipation and rumors, Hera Pheri 3 has finally gone on floors, bringing back the beloved trio of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal. Directed once again by Priyadarshan, who helmed the original 2000 blockbuster, Hera Pheri 3 marks the return of the hilarious characters Raju, Shyam, and Baburao in what promises to be another comedy-packed adventure.

According to a report by Hindustan Times, the first scene of the movie was shot on April 3, 2025. A source close to the production confirmed the news, saying, “Yes, it’s true. The first scene was indeed shot today with Akshay, Suniel, and Paresh, who will be bringing back the memories of their iconic roles.”

The buzz around Hera Pheri 3 had been building ever since Akshay Kumar confirmed his return to the franchise during the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit in 2024. The return of the original cast members has made fans even more excited, as they eagerly anticipate the chaotic adventures of Raju, Shyam, and Baburao.

Director Priyadarshan shared his thoughts on the immense expectations surrounding the third installment, stating, “It is going to be very challenging to make the third part because there will be too many expectations. Characters have gotten older, and accordingly, people should believe… these are important things. I am taking it as a challenge. Let’s see how it works.”

The Hera Pheri series has been a staple of Bollywood comedy, with the first film in 2000 becoming a cult classic. The sequel, Phir Hera Pheri (2006), also earned immense love from audiences, and fans have been waiting eagerly for the next chapter.
