PCB Chairman Inspires New Leadership Duo Ahead of Crucial Australia Tour

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi held an encouraging meeting with the newly-appointed white-ball captain Mohammad Rizwan and vice-captain Salman Ali Agha as they gear up for Pakistan’s upcoming tour to Australia. The meeting, attended by PCB COO Salman Naseer, provided an opportunity for Naqvi to wish the leadership duo well for their maiden challenge in Australia as captain and vice-captain.

Chairman Naqvi commended the talented squad selected for the white-ball series against Australia, highlighting the importance of team unity and resilience. “Leading the white-ball team is an honour,” Naqvi stated, adding, “Our players are talented and professional, and I am confident they will showcase their best talent. Playing as a united team and fighting till the last ball are keys to success.”

Captain Mohammad Rizwan and his deputy Salman Ali Agha expressed gratitude for the support and confidence vested in them. “We are determined to perform well during the tours of Australia and Zimbabwe,” said Rizwan. “We will make every effort to meet the nation’s expectations.”

The Pakistan squad for Australia comprises strong players for both ODI and T20I formats. The ODI squad includes Mohammad Rizwan as captain, alongside players like Babar Azam, Haris Rauf, and Shaheen Shah Afridi. The T20I squad features additional key players including Sahibzada Farhan, Jahandad Khan, and Sufyan Moqim.
