ICC Confirms 2025 Champions Trophy to Be Hosted in Pakistan
ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice has affirmed that there are no plans to shift the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy away from Pakistan. Addressing the media during the Women’s T20 World Cup briefing, Allardice expressed satisfaction with the tournament’s preparations and emphasized that the ICC regularly visits member countries, including Pakistan, to ensure events are successfully organized.
He further assured that no participating team had expressed any reluctance to play in the Champions Trophy. All teams have committed to competing in the event, with the ICC maintaining confidence in Pakistan’s ability to host such a prestigious tournament.
Pakistan is currently the defending champion of the ICC Champions Trophy, having claimed the title in 2017 by defeating India in the final in England. The country’s cricketing authorities are preparing to welcome the world’s top cricket teams for this major event, marking a milestone in Pakistan’s cricketing resurgence.
