Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has expressed deep concern over the critical health condition of former Afghan fast bowler Shapoor Zadran and has offered his full support during this difficult time.

According to reports, the 38-year-old former cricketer has been admitted to an intensive care unit (ICU) due to a serious medical complication. His condition is said to be critical, with family members sharing updates on social media and requesting prayers from fans.

Reacting to the news, Afridi took to social media platform X and revealed that he had spoken to Zadran’s brother. He said he was deeply saddened to hear about the situation.

In his message, Afridi praised Zadran’s fighting spirit, stating, “You have always been a fighter on the field, and I believe you will face this challenge with the same courage.” He also prayed for his speedy recovery.

Afridi further assured support, saying, “Pakistan and I stand with you. If you need any kind of help, I am always here.”

Shapoor Zadran represented Afghanistan in 44 One Day Internationals, taking 43 wickets, and played 36 T20 Internationals, claiming 37 wickets. He also had a brief but impactful presence in franchise cricket before announcing his retirement in 2025.
