Mohammad Wasim Criticizes Mohammad Amir, Says “Swinging the Ball is Harder Than Talking”
Former Pakistan chief selector and cricketer Mohammad Wasim has strongly criticized fast bowler Mohammad Amir over his poor performance in PSL 11, stating that delivering on the field is far more difficult than making bold statements.
Speaking during a discussion with sports analyst Dr. Nauman Niaz, Wasim remarked that Amir appears completely out of touch in the ongoing Pakistan Super League season. Niaz also questioned Amir’s selection, suggesting he may have been picked for his ability to swing the ball, but has failed to live up to expectations.
Wasim added that it has now become evident that “swinging the ball is harder than moving the tongue,” taking a direct jab at Amir’s recent media appearances and commentary.
It is worth noting that Amir is part of the Rawalpindi team, which is still searching for its first win in PSL 11, having suffered six consecutive defeats so far.
Previously, Amir has been seen giving bowling tips during T20 World Cup discussions on television. However, his own performances in the current PSL season have been underwhelming, leading to criticism from former players.
Despite recent struggles, Amir remains known for his outstanding performance in the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy final against India, where he played a key role and was named among the match heroes.
