Gold prices continued their upward trend in Pakistan as the precious metal recorded a significant increase in local markets on Tuesday.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold per tola increased by Rs2,830, taking the new rate to Rs455,063 per tola.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs2,547, reaching Rs389,534.

The association also reported an increase in international gold prices, with the global rate climbing by $28 per ounce to $4,326 per ounce.

Market analysts attribute the rise in gold prices to ongoing global economic uncertainty, increased demand for safe-haven assets, and fluctuations in international financial markets.

The latest increase has further strengthened gold’s position as a preferred investment option, while also making gold jewellery more expensive for consumers across the country.
