Man Arrested in Pattoki for Playing Loud Punjabi Songs at Dhaba
Police in Habibabad, Pattoki, arrested a man for playing Punjabi songs at high volume at a local dhaba, causing disturbance to nearby shopkeepers and residents.
Authorities said the action was taken after multiple public complaints about the excessive noise. Despite several warnings from locals, the accused — identified as Farooq, a shopkeeper — continued to play loud music.
Police arrived at the scene and arrested him on the spot under the Loudspeaker Act for violating the Sound Systems (Regulation) Ordinance and causing a public nuisance.
A case has been registered at Pattoki Saddar Police Station, and legal proceedings are underway. Local residents appreciated the police’s swift response to tackle noise pollution in the area.
