Rain to Grip KP and Punjab — PDMA Issues Urgent Solar Panel Advisory

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast strong winds, rain, and isolated hailstorms across several regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Punjab today. While Sindh and Balochistan remain dry and unbearably hot, northern and central regions are bracing for weather turbulence.

In KP, rain and strong winds are expected in areas such as Swat, Dir, Abbottabad, and Peshawar. Hailstorms are also likely in isolated spots. Punjab cities including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Murree, and Sialkot are on alert for heavy gusts and potential showers, with some southern districts like Layyah, Sahiwal, and Pakpattan also expecting rainfall.

Lahore will remain hot despite a drop in temperature due to yesterday’s light rain. The day’s high is projected to reach 36°C.
