The title of the world’s youngest billionaire has been claimed by 19-year-old Jonas von Böhmbeck from Germany. According to Forbes, Jonas inherited his wealth from his family’s pharmaceutical empire, Boehringer Ingelheim. With a net worth of $5.4 billion, Jonas became the youngest billionaire globally, but his fortune comes not from his own business acumen but from a family legacy.

Boehringer Ingelheim, a major player in the pharmaceutical industry, remains under the control of Jonas’ uncle, while Jonas and his three siblings are considered the youngest heirs to the fortune. The family has always preferred to stay out of the public eye, which means there is limited information about Jonas’ involvement in the company.

Despite his immense wealth, Jonas appears to lead a relatively low-key life. He is currently focusing on his studies and actively participating in skiing competitions in Austria, a passion he has pursued outside the business world.

Jonas’ achievement makes him the youngest among an exclusive group of billionaires, with the second youngest being 20-year-old Livia Vigo from Brazil, who owns a portion of her late grandfather’s company, WEG. She currently has a net worth of $1.2 billion.

Meanwhile, 20-year-old Clemente Del Vecchio from Italy also finds himself on the youngest billionaires list. His wealth, amounting to $6.6 billion, stems from his family’s glasses manufacturing business.
