Gold Prices Surge by Rs 2,500 Per Tola in Local Market

Gold prices in Pakistan have witnessed a significant hike, mirroring trends in the global market. The price of gold per tola increased by Rs 2,500, reaching a record high of Rs 280,500. Similarly, the price of 10 grams rose by Rs 2,143, now standing at Rs 240,483.
In the international market, gold prices per ounce saw a sharp rise of $25, reaching $2,693. This surge is attributed to global economic uncertainties and the increased demand for the precious metal as a safe-haven investment.
The consistent rise in gold prices has left local consumers concerned, especially during the wedding season when gold demand typically spikes. Traders anticipate further fluctuations in the coming days, depending on global market dynamics and currency exchange rates.
