Pakistan Stock Exchange Sees Weekly Gains as KSE-100 Index Rises by 6,747 Points
The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) recorded a positive trend during the outgoing business week, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index gaining 6,747 points to close at 173,939.
During the week, the index remained volatile within a wide band of 14,245 points, reaching a high of 174,404 and a low of 160,158.
Despite the overall upward momentum, the market showed mixed activity throughout the week. A total of 5.18 billion shares were traded, with a cumulative value of PKR 241.9 billion.
However, market capitalization witnessed a decline of PKR 776 billion over the week, settling at PKR 19,250 billion by the end of trading.
Analysts noted that while investor sentiment remained generally positive, fluctuations in key sectors contributed to the mixed performance and decline in overall market capitalization.
