Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Adviser Samar Haroon Bilour has made statements regarding an alleged document related to the Mufti Mahmood Centre, located on Peshawar's Ring Road, and levelled allegations against Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
In a statement, Bilour alleged that Maulana Fazlur Rehman had obtained money from Libya through fraud for the construction of the centre.
She further claimed that the centre's ownership appeared to be registered in Maulana Fazlur Rehman's name and alleged that parts of its exterior construction encroached on government right-of-way land.
Bilour said notices had been issued in 2019 and May 2026, but the alleged encroachments remained. She called for enforcement of the law to remove the encroachments and recover government land.
